Designed for use with the NitroPress, these Coffee Cocktail Chargers from Hatfields consist of pure, food-grade nitrogen (N2). While these cartridges will work with any standard whipping siphon, the unique nozzle of the NitroPress makes it possible to infuse nitrogen into your favorite beverages.
The reason for using N2 cartridges is that, unlike carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrous oxide (N2O), pure nitrogen is flavorless. On top of this, N2 is capable of producing significantly smaller bubbles, which is what creates that creamy mouthfeel and nice foam head.
